Abandon Films is casting for The Laptop Conspiracy, a short film written and directed by Justin Snyder, and starring Kevin Spacey and Kim Basinger. No just kidding. The film will be used as a case study for Producing a Great Short Film, a tutorial series directed by Adam Everett Miller. This special series is funded by Envato and will be featured on the Tuts Network at the end of this year.
What
Casting for The Laptop Conspiracy, a film-noir comedy about a missing laptop at a coffee shop. We’re casting for a male and female lead, plus extras. There is no pay, but meals will be provided, and a good time guaranteed.
Who (cast)
- MALE – 20′s or early 30′s, slender or average build
- FEMALE – late teen or early 20′s, slender or average
- Extras – all age groups above 18 to fill a coffee shop (extras will be able to read or do work, eat food and sip coffee, they just have to stay in their seats the whole day).
When
- Auditions must be emailed by midnight, Monday, October 31.
- Principle Photography is Thursday, November 3. Cast and extras will be expected to be there the entire day.
How (to audition)
- To audition for the male or female lead, request the script by emailing the director at jsnyder@abandonfilms.com
- Record a web video of your audition and upload it to Youtube or Facebook or something else (you can password protect it if you like)
- Email a link to the video to jsnyder@abandonfilms.com
- If you want to be an extra, all you have to do is email Justin a link to your Facebook profile and say “I’m in.”
